In September 2019, Themi and I had the opportunity to do some volunteer dental work for underprivileged people in the Jamaican fishing village of Whitehouse. It was a unique and rewarding experience. The people there were all very friendly and appreciative of our work. Our group consisted of 4 dentists, 5 assistants, and 4 hygienists. 5 of us were from Canada, and the rest from the United States. God willing, we hope to do other mission trips such as this in the future.
Below are some photos of the “clinic” that we set up, as well as a few others of the village and our trip. The town you see from the airplane is Milton!
