What to Expect
As a new patient, we will assess your current oral health and work with you to form an ideal treatment plan, together. When you walk in the door, you’ll be greeted by our friendly receptionist, with whom you will check-in. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions about the process, or to clarify any billing or insurance information beforehand.
During your exam, Dr. Karolidis, along with our dental hygienist will provide you with the best possible care and treatment. You can ask questions, request more information about our services and treatment options (including cosmetic dentistry / teeth whitening). Throughout your detailed oral examination, we will be looking for signs of the following:
- periodontal (gum) disease
- cracks or damage to your teeth
- cavities / check existing fillings or other dental work
- symptoms of oral cancer and other health issues
- tooth decay and staining
As you might expect, x-rays are taken to determine the presence of decay and to obtain baseline data on the overall condition of your teeth / jaw / bone. This helps us to spot any cause for concerns and take proactive steps to remedy them.
If you’d like to schedule your first new patient exam, call us at (905) 878-6482.
Once your new patient exam has been completed and all your questions have been answered, we will maintain an ongoing relationship focused on your oral health. Based on the results of your exam, Dr. Karolidis will detail a treatment plan and next steps. Our Downtown Milton dental office is conveniently located to serve you.
